How parents can support the curriculum

Knowledge is essential for children to prepare them for their future success. It is about giving children the best possible start to their early education.   Knowledge, skills and behaviours accumulate over time through many different experiences and opportunities. It is understood to contribute to ‘getting on in life’ and being able to perform well in school, knowing how to talk in different social groups or societies, accessing higher education and being successful in work or a career.

Here are some ideas of how parents can help children to experience, value and celebrate the awe and wonder of the world in which they live.  Many of the ideas won't break the bank and will create lasting childhood memories too.

Bentley School's Christian Ethos

"Know that I am with you always," Matthew 28:20 We encourage the spiritual, social, moral and cultural development of the school family by embedding Christian values into everyday life. Our vision is for all children to be confident individuals, successful learners and responsible citizens who are well equipped for future life, knowing that God is with them always.
