Good Morning Hedgehogs!

I hope you are well. This week we are going to be focusing on food. Thank you for sharing your learning on our weekly class discussion. Do check back and have a look at my comments if you haven’t already done so. There is also a new one for this week so please add your work and ask any questions you have about your learning. I will be checking into it most days now the website is running more smoothly so it would be great to keep in touch.  I will also continue my next lot of phone calls home to see how you all are!

Don't forget to also check out the resources Mrs Rudge has created to continue our work on Christian Ethos. The Collective Worship activities you can complete are attached to this blog. Please do upload anything you wish to share to our weekly class discussion. It will be lovely to see what you have been getting up to!

Your tasks for today:

  • Daily Challenge – Can you do some mindful colouring?
  • Reading – Look at the image below and try to answer the questions using full sentences. Remember to justify your answers using evidence from the picture.

Quiet Time

  • Who is the woman?
  • Why does she live on a boat?
  • Does she have everything she needs?
  • Is she happy?
  • Is she lonely?
  • Is being alone the same as being lonely?
  • Writing - Shopping List- Write a shopping list that ensures your family will eat a balanced diet. What food groups will you need to include? What meals will be made using the ingredients that you have bought? Remember to include exciting adjectives.
  • Spelling - Choose 5 Statutory Words. Words (see list in pack) and practise spelling them using bubble letters. Write the word in bubble letters, e.g.

Don’t forget to log onto Spelling Shed to practise the spellings for this week too.

  • Maths - Complete your Fluent in Five for today.

You will need to go on to White Rose Home Learning Page – click on your year group and Week 1. For each lesson there is a short video to watch before completing your worksheet that links to that lessons learning. In addition, you will need to complete the classroom secrets sheets that go with it. These are within your learning packs. The focus for today is below:
