Hedgehogs - Monday 4th May 2020

Date: 3rd May 2020 @ 8:15pm

Good Morning Everyone! smiley Happy birthday Tali!

I hope you are all had a lovely weekend! It was great talking to so many of you last week. I will try and catch up with those I wasn’t able to get through to at some point hopefully within the next few days. Thank you for sharing your learning with me via the weekly discussion or by email. It has been so lovely to see what you have been getting up to and you are all working so hard. We are very proud of how you are managing within these uncertain times and the effort that you are putting into your learning is fantastic. I am so pleased to see so many of you enjoy your learning (from afar!).

Just a quick note for you all - we are obviously very pleased to see you complete all the daily activities (as a lot of you are) but if for any reason on the odd day you don't get finished then do not worry! We understand that everyday has its own challenges and whatever you can do is brilliant. As long as you can try and do some Maths, Reading and Writing each day you should be able to keep on top of those key skills.

This week we are going to be looking at celebrations around the world. On Friday we have a bank holiday to celebrate VE Day which is the 75th anniversary of the ending of World War 2. VE stands for Victory in Europe and you can find out more information in the video link below. As it is a bank holiday, the learning we have sent home for Friday is optional!

Please do check into our new weekly discussion to send through some of your work as well as find the Week 3 Celebrations plan attached for you to follow. By now, you should be more familiar with how to structure you day as you work through your activities. Remember to check out the answers attached to each daily blog to check your learning. And, if you get stuck, remember you can always ask for help!

I have also attached some fractions and decimal knowledge organisers to today’s blog which might help you with your maths learning. Do try to watch the White Rose video too for today as this will really help you to understand the task and do the ‘teaching’ for you. Scroll down to find Summer Term Week 1 for this week's learning.

You can also have a look at the Worship from Home activities that I have attached for today. The theme for this week is 'hope'. If you have any pictures of your oragami eagle or something to show hope, please add it to our weekly class discussion.

I look forward to seeing what you get up to over the next few days. Do try and stay in contact with your friends also!

Take care and stay safe!
